24th of June Night of Eastern Delights: Spot Light on Ameerah

On Friday the 24th of June Namaste and Jewels of the East are hosting a Night of Eastern Delights with food, fun and fabulous entertainment!

Dancing for you will be specical guest dancer - the Amazing Ameerah!

Ameerah is a professional bellydancer based in Durham.

She fell in love with belly dance shortly after moving to England in 2001.

Since then she has danced internationally for several years, from weddings to restaurants and everywhere in between!

Ameerah's travels around the world helped shape her joyful, charming dance style - based on a strong respect for traditional Middle Eastern dance, but always keeping an interest in other styles, including tribal fusion and modern dance. She is known for her friendly, warm manner, razor-sharp finger cymbals, and of course stunning sword perfomances - guaranteed to amaze the crowd!

When she is not roaming the earth searching for new costumes, Ameerah is available for performances and to teach workshops.
